: NEWS & UPDATES :
May 10, 2023- The Ohio House has voted to put the Constitutional Protection Amendment on the ballot in a special election on Tuesday, August 8th. If passed, it will require a 60% threshold to amend the Ohio Constitution by ballot initiative. This is absolutely great news for Ohio, for unborn babies and for our 2023 municipal candidates. The House passed this bill 62-37 with only 4 Republicans voting against us -- local Representative, Tom Patton was one of those voting against the Amendment.
For Ohio
For too long, corporate and other special interests have been abusing our constitutional amendment process for their own selfish interests. This is how we have actual addresses in our constitution for the permitted casino's. In the future, an initiative like that would have had to achieve 60% of the vote - making it a much more difficult task.
For Unborn Babies
The baby-killing lobby has been working overtime to get their constitutional amendment that would make Ohio the most radical abortion state in the world. It would allow abortion on demand and even eliminate parental rights when it comes to transgender child mutilation. If the initiative passes in August, the radical abortion effort will need to achieve a 60% victory.
For Our 2023 Municipal Candidates
If the 60% protection were not in place going into November, Democrat and baby-killing national groups would have poured an unlimited amount of money into our state to turn out Democrat voters. This would have killed our local candidates especially here in Cuyahoga County. If the 60% initiative passes, those same national groups will not invest as heavily in Ohio.
Shame On Tom Patton... AGAIN
Tom Patton was one of 4 Republicans to side with the baby-killers and vote to prevent the 60% initiative from being placed on the ballot.
