November 18th, 2020, Strongsville, Ohio - Strongsville GOP, in NE Ohio commissioned a statewide survey to gauge the mood of Republican primary voters as it relates to Governor Mike DeWine’s proposed COVID-19 mandates. Strongsville GOP President Shannon Burns said, “It is clear that the unprecedented actions taken by Governor Mike DeWine in response to the COVID-19 pandemic are not wholly supported by Republican primary voters.” The survey shows that while 60.1% of Republican primary voters support the statewide mask mandate, 61.6% oppose further business closures. Burns concluded, “this survey clearly demonstrates that Ohio Republican Primary voters will seek an alternative to elected officials that choose to support further restrictions to civil liberties and economic freedom.”

Note: All survey responses were achieved prior to the announcement of a statewide curfew by Governor DeWine.
